Educated at Poona University and Pembroke College, Cambridge, Farrukh Dhondy, is a famed novelist and screenwriter. As the commissioner editor of channel 4 for many years he introduced directors like Shekhar Kapur, Mira Nair, to the international arena of cinema. He created the television comedy, Tandoori Nights, starring Saeed Jaffrey and directed by Jon Amiel. He went on to write screenplays for a number of feature films including Bandit Queen, directed by Shekhar Kapur, Salaam Bombay directed by Mira Nair, Red Mercury (2005) starring Pete Postlethwaite, The Rising (2006) starring Bollywood megastar Amir Khan and Toby Stevens, directed by Ketan Mehta. Most recently he has written the screenplays for ‘A bend in the river’ based on a novel written by noble prize winner V.S. Naipul. This film is to be directed by Oscar winner Hugh Hudson and The Carpet Boy to be directed by Giles Nuttgens. Farrukh draws upon his wealth of experience to connect the film festival to a dynamic network of film industry professionals in UK, Australia and India.

Martin was appointed Director of the newly established Specialist Program Division at AFTRS in late 2013. Starting in live theatre, he has managed literally hundreds of live shows and events. Martin has produced television commercials and music videos and feature films as an art director, most notably on Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom. He managed several diverse projects for Baz Luhrmann and was co-producer on William Shakespeare's Romeo+Juliet and the lead producer on Moulin Rouge, which went on to win the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy of 2001 and was nominated for eight Academy Awards including: Best Picture (winning two for Costume Design and Art Direction).
Martin was awarded the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Producer of the Year in 2001 by the Producers' Guild of America for his work on Moulin Rouge.He is the founder of Martin Brown Films, a company devoted to developing and producing films for the international market. The company also provides production services to international film projects seeking to shoot in Australia and worldwide. Martin has also has served on the board of Screen Tasmania and has been engaged by the Australian Film Commission, The New South Wales Film and Television Office and The Australian Writers' Guild as a reader and consultant.
Mr. Jean-Marc Surcin needs no introduction when it comes to documentary story telling in French Television. An accomplished director and cinematographer, Mr. Jean-Marc Surcin, is a name attached to many award winning documentaries produced by France Televisions. Jean-Marc has been making documentaries since 1987 for France 2, Canal+ and France 3. He was part of famous 'Faut pas rever' series of France 3 and filmed in India, Russia, Mexico, Laos, Cambodia and in many countries around the globe in his film making career. Currently based in Paris and working as a senior reporter and director in documentaries division at France Televisions, Jean-Marc's most recent project in 2014 is "Ils ont debarque en Normandie" for France Televisions that has been recently broadcast in France in relation to 70th anniversary of D-Day.
